Festive opening of the Rig Yard and Watersports ShopOur newly constructed rig yard and completely remodelled watersports shop were opened with a festive event held on 16 July 2005. The event served to consign to the past a hectic period of demolitions, rebuilding, relocation and redesign. It was all worth it though, because the new shop and rig yard are exactly as you always wanted them to be! The event was organized in collaboration with our neighbour in the rig yard, A. de Groot Olietransport. That meant that our guests were also able to take a closer look at the tankers in the harbour. We marked out a route from the watersports shop, via our fuel storage ship, to the tankers and from there to the new rig yard buildings, where we were awaited with snacks and drinks. Our disabled guests were driven to the rig yard by bus, and the young ones had a lot of fun on the jumping castle we had set up in the rig yard for the occasion.
